On Tuesday 5 September 2017, the Presbytery of Aberdeen approved the Basis and Plan of Union between Aberdeen St Mark’s Church of Scotland and Queen Street Parish Church, Aberdeen.  This approval is subject to the Church of Scotland’s Ministries Council and it has now been suggested that the Service of Union will take place on Friday 3 November 2017.  Arrangements for a final Service in Queen Street Church have yet to be made.

The Working Group of representatives from each Church will meet on Thursday 21 September at 7.15pm to deal with the many outstanding practical issues which the Union brings.  We are however, well on our way to being the new St Mark’s Church, with permission to call a Minister.

On Sunday 1 October we celebrated our Harvest Festival Service and here are a couple of images from the day. Our flowers were sold and income was donated to the Cyrenians who also received our gifts of dried and tinned foodstuffs.

Just before Harvest Sunday the OAK Café held an Afternoon Tea in aid of Macmillan Cancer Care and you can see the photographs from that on the OAK page Here
