Aberdeen St Mark's Church of Scotland
|
Following retiral, the congregation of this unrestricted charge seeks a minister to inspire, guide and encourage us in worship, service and pastoral care. In return we will offer commitment, support and enthusiasm. We are also keen to develop our membership of the City Centre Parish Grouping. |

Welcome to the Home Page of St Mark's Church Web Site
St Mark's is one of the Aberdeen City Centre Parish Grouping churches, along with the Kirk of St Nicholas Uniting and Queen Street Church. The Triskellis is the symbol adopted by the Group. Clicking on the symbol will open a new window to the Grouping Pages. Clicking on other symbols throughout the site will open new windows to relevant pages. Enjoy! Explore!
As a result of technical difficulties the website was transferred to a new server and hosting package on 23 December 2008. Although this has given a new look to the site some of the original content is no longer available.
(All of the links below, to pages throughout the site, open in new windows)
Although the latest update was on 23 June 2009 when the advertisement for the vacancy was posted above, along with the Parish Profile to tie in with publication in the July issue of Life and Work there was a minor change on 30 June when the e-Pulpit page was taken down in light of our vacancy. Previously the Stage Door production, Music & Laughter photographs were added to the Photographs section and the Summer Grouping Supplement was loaded to the Grouping pages. The Summer Messenger was uploaded earlier, along with a "souvenir" supplement covering Rev John M Watson's twenty year ministry at St Mark's to mark his retiral on 30 June 2009.
If you are a visitor to St Mark's and want to get in touch please use the Contact us page (from the Menu on the left) or if you have something you want to share, use our new and updated Guest Book which was launched on 23 April 2009. You won't be the first Guest to post a comment but all are welcome.
You can contact the Church office on its new e-mail address.
By clicking on the Duty Rotas link in the banner below Office Bearers can access the various rotas and print off copies as required. A new Cleaners Rota was added on 19 June.
By clicking on the Downloads link in the banner below you can access Gift Aid, Standing Order and Standing Order Review forms for printing and completion.
In response to a special request I have added photographs of St Mark's newest and youngest member so that he (or mum, dad and big sister) can see them from far off Dubai!
