What’s Going On and Coming Up at St Mark’s

Open weekday mornings in the Church Hall the OAK Café is a joint venture run by St Mark’s Church and the Crown Terrace Methodist Church. Snacks (bacon rolls, toast etc) are served from 10.00am to 1.00pm, Breakfast (5 items) is served until 11.30am and good quality home made lunches served from 11.30am – 1.00pm.

Great value and friendly company guaranteed

Our first ‘Special Lunch’ of 2019 is on Thursday 7 March at 12.00noon (Doors open 11.30am) when we will hear from representatives of Cruse, Bereavement Care.  Tickets are £7 each and are available from the Café or on a Sunday during the Teas and Fellowship time after morning worship.
During the year the OAK Café will hold four Special Lunches.  On May 16 the lunch will be in aid of CLAPA, on August 22, The British Sailors’ Society and on November 7 we will be supporting Archways.On 12 December OAK will hold its annual Christmas Cracker, Christmas Lunch.

The first St Mark’s event of 2019 will be a Daffodil Tea, arranged by our Fundraising Team for Saturday 30 March from 2.00pm – 4.00pm when all the usual attractions and goodies will be available for just £5.00 admission.

Our next fundraiser will be an after service event on Sunday 19 May when we will hold a Soup & Pudding Lunch at only £5.00 a ticket.
