Clachnaben was the destination for two brave walkers on 17th March. It was a good walk and stayed dry but was a little cold on top with a bit of snow underfoot.
14th April saw the same two walkers tackle a circular walk of Loch Muick with even time for a paddle, although the water was a little chilly.
Four walkers took the bus to Drumoak on 22nd April and then walked to Crathes, it was a nice day but a little cold at times. The sun came out for a short spell while we had our sandwich lunch, but later as we walked towards Banchory the rain came on and saw us getting an earlier bus home.

Tuesday 19th January dawned bright and cold and three walkers took on a short walk around the tracks and paths at Kirkhill forest, taking in a short trip to the Tampie monument. Conditions were a little snowy and icy underfoot but it was still nice to get out.
As I write this, Monday 8th February was the only other walk this year which took us from Seaton park to Persley up the side of the river Don and back on the other side. A good day but a little cold with a short shower on the return.
The following are walks that are planned for the next couple of months-
Wednesday 14th April Circular Walk of Loch Muick - Transport can be arrnged
Thursday 22nd April Walk round the grounds of Crathes Castle
Wed 9th June A coastal walk from Portsoy to Cullen - Transport can be arranged

A change to the booked walk on Thursday 8th October saw four of us take the bus to Bieldside and return to Aberdeen along the old Deeside railway line. This was a lovely walk with the colours of Autumn all around and apart from a short rain shower whilst we were in the Duthie Park, it was a nice day.
Other walks are planned; if you would like to join us or would like information on the planned walks, contact:

A recent walk from Newburgh to Collieston in good weather was enjoyed by four walkers and we even had time for a paddle before the sandwich lunch, a great day out. Lovely views over the dunes and beaches.
