Rachael and Sarah have left us but now work with the younger children in Sunday School.

What We Do

We meet on a Sunday during the service in our "Private" room, with comfy chairs! We join together with the Sunday School at the end to Pray and share God's Love.  Over the past year we have been looking further into Fairtrade.  So can you by clicking  Here.

Our next Fairtrade event will be held on Sunday 25 June 2007 as part of the Sunday School Promotion Day Service.  This is your chance to support Fairtrade and buy tea, coffee, cereals, chocolate etc bought from the producers for a fair price. - And we did!

Changed World

What Are We Like?

This is a topic we have explored.  If you want to look back at a previous topic go to Page 2.

We are looking at the difference between the sexes!  Exploring the issue of gender and stereotyping.  We will be looking at a number of questions:-

Are men and woman treated equally at work/school?

Do men and woman face unique pressures?

We will be asking ourselves:-

Should women be allowed to be leaders in the church?

Who is to say that they should or shouldn't?

What does the bible say about women and men?

Is this for all time or is this of their time?

We would be interested in your opinions what do you think?

Please try our on line equality survey, Click Here

We will consider these issues in the light of biblical teaching and look at the roles of women and men in church and society today.  We will be working through 3 Old Testament stories about women:-

Esther             Esther 2: 5-8

Deborah          Judges 4: 1-16

Ruth                Ruth 1-4:

Also, First Corinthians 11: 11-12 & First Timothy 2: 11-14 (to encourage debate!) and why not read Luke 1: 26-28.  What can we learn from this young woman?

The Church is involved in several initiatives to combat gender discrimination:-

World Council of Churches Decade in Solidarity with Women.

Vashti an organisation which works to combat violence against women.

WCC Decade to Overcome Violence  (DOVE), including a project based in Edinburgh looking at violence within the churches.
